SME Eco-Tech

Gives Romanian SMEs, including trade, services and qualifying micro-enterprises, a co-financing grant of up to RON 267,240 toward green and digital investments, provided they also secure a matching bank loan.

An applicant picks its own partner bank when registering, from a MEDAT-selected list that includes Banca Transilvania, BRD, CEC Bank, UniCredit Bank and ProCredit Bank; each bank then assesses the loan request against its own lending criteria, and any interest or fees on that loan are the borrower's cost, not the programme's. The grant itself is paid out within twelve months of the financing agree

SME Eco-Tech backs Romanian small and medium enterprises investing in renewable energy, waste and recycling equipment, or other resource-saving upgrades, alongside a smaller digital package covering a website, business software, an electronic signature, and IT equipment. Since a July 2026 rule change it is no longer limited to manufacturers: trade and services companies and qualifying micro-enterprises are now eligible too.
