The Commission wants a project that identifies which agricultural crops are grown across the EU specifically for bio-based industrial products — chemicals, materials — and assesses the environmental impact of growing and trading them, including land-use change and GHG emissions. Crops grown for food, feed, biofuels or bioenergy are explicitly out of scope.
