The Commission wants projects focused on methane and nitrous oxide from livestock, manure, soil and fertiliser use — the main non-CO2 sources of EU agricultural emissions — that improve monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) at the farm level. It wants practical mitigation measures that farmers, vets and advisors can actually apply, backed by field experiments and demonstrations.
