Strengthening plant health: addressing emerging plant pest risks
Funds research to detect and control emerging plant pests threatening EU agriculture and forestry.

This call funds research targeting one or more emerging plant pests — regulated or not, native or introduced — that pose a growing socio-economic or environmental threat to EU and associated-country agriculture and forestry, driven by climate change and globalisation. It wants proposals to improve pest-risk understanding, develop early-detection and control tools in line with sustainable pest management, and assess economic impact on farmers and forest owners. Pests already targeted by two named earlier Horizon Europe topics are excluded.
