HORIZON-JU-CHIPS-2025-CSA-JPN
Pays a coordination action that connects EU and Japanese semiconductor researchers and companies to plan joint chip R&I and secure the chip supply chain.
This is a single-stage Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action run by the Chips JU, with one grant expected. Proposals are submitted once via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal; the Chips JU's own calls team is the contact point for questions.
The call wants networking, workshops and researcher exchange between the EU and Japan on semiconductor manufacturing R&I, including life-cycle-assessment coordination and preparing future joint EU-Japan collaboration topics. It also wants EU and Japanese companies in the chip value chain connected to propose measures that improve supply stability. The action is also meant to look at funding options for staff exchanges across R&D and production sites in the two regions, and to build cooperation with Japanese research institutions on developing, deploying and commercialising digital technologies more broadly.
