RISC-V Automotive Hardware Platform
Funds up to two teams building a high-performance RISC-V automotive hardware platform — processors, AI accelerators and the software tool-chain — for autonomous driving.
This is a two-stage Horizon Europe Innovation Action run by the Chips JU, with two grants expected from this topic's own budget. A short Stage 1 proposal is due first, and only applicants invited forward submit a full Stage 2 proposal; the topic asks for alignment with the Chips JU's Software Defined Vehicle Initiative on standardised interfaces and middleware.
The call wants an in-vehicle demonstrator capable of PetaOPS computing, combining high-performance RISC-V automotive application processors, AI/ML accelerators with automotive-specific instruction-set extensions, and a coherent system architecture using 2.5D/3D integration. Proposals must also deliver a software tool-chain (compilers, IDEs, runtime libraries) and benchmark the platform against automotive safety and security standards.
