Funds participatory soil-health initiatives across Africa or Latin America and the Caribbean, with most of the money re-granted to local research and community organisations.
This is a two-stage Research and Innovation Action using Horizon Europe's multi-actor approach, exceptionally open to legal entities in African Union or CELAC member states even without the usual low/middle-income eligibility test. The funder wants at least 12 participatory soil-health initiatives set up in 5-6 countries within Africa or LAC, co-designed with local land managers, researchers and civil society. It wants at least one project focused on Africa and one on LAC, each building a peer-to-peer learning network that can expand to new countries.
