Living Labs for co-creating solutions to reduce eutrophication from agriculture
Funds soil-health living labs that unite farmers, researchers and local actors to reduce agricultural eutrophication in small river catchments.
This is a two-stage Research and Innovation Action: an open first stage, then a second stage limited to shortlisted applicants, where evaluators apply a raised overall threshold of twelve points and require the Excellence criterion alone to clear a minimum of four. Proposals must follow Horizon Europe's multi-actor approach, bringing together researchers, land managers, industry, public administra…
This topic funds the set-up of four to five living labs — long-term, real-life collaborations between researchers, land managers, industry and civil society — that address soil management practices driving eutrophication in nearby freshwater bodies. Each living lab must focus on a specific small river catchment, spread across at least three Member States or Associated Countries, with priority given to sites in nitrate-vulnerable zones.
