Grants Kerala handicraft artisans up to Rs3 lakh to set up a micro-enterprise.
Applications go first to a recommending authority — the artisan's own registering body such as SURABHI, KSBC, KADCO, HDCK or KELPALM, or otherwise the local District Industries Centre's Manager in charge of Handicrafts — which accepts and processes the paperwork before placing it in front of a District Level Handicraft Project Appraisal Committee.
