An Entrepreneur in Residence gets fellowship funding of ₹3 lakhs over six months to turn a scalable technology idea into a business, working within TIHAN's thrust areas. Applicants submit a proposal in the Annexure A format, as a PDF or PPT, via a Google Form, and TIHAN reviews submissions on a rolling basis rather than against a fixed deadline.

TIHAN backs translational research and commercialization in autonomous navigation for ground, aerial and water-surface vehicles, including applications in agriculture, defence, disaster management, infrastructure monitoring, surveillance and environmental monitoring. It also targets underlying technologies like AI/ML, IoT and CPS architectures, edge computing, robotics and vehicle communications.
