This program backs advanced Assistant Professors and newly promoted Associate Professors who already hold independent NIH-level funding and study the biology of cognitive aging and age-related memory loss. One award supports clinical translational research and the other supports basic biological mechanisms behind cognitive decline. Research focused mainly on Alzheimer's disease or other neurodegenerative disease is out of scope.
