FuzeHub runs the contest as part of the Jeff Lawrence Innovation Fund, holding its tenth edition over two days at the Buffalo Convention Center, timed to the state's annual innovation summit. Companies pitch for a share of the funding pool, with the program meant to help them line up further investment and customers and sharpen their go-to-market plans.

The competition is open to startup companies based in New York State that are working on an innovative technology or product headed toward commercialization. It targets small manufacturing and technology companies that already have a working prototype and want to move it toward market.
