Coefficient Giving's Effective Giving & Careers Fund runs a Request for Proposals targeting organizations that help donors direct resources to highly effective charities. Coefficient Giving (formerly Open Philanthropy, rebranded November 2025) has directed over $5 billion in grants since 2014 and directed over $1 billion in 2025 alone. The Effective Giving RFP specifically funds organizations that raise funds for high-impact charities by operating donation platforms, providing donor advisory services, running pledging organizations, or running matching and awareness campaigns that channel donations toward proven opportunities. Current grantees in the broader Effective Giving & Careers portfolio include Longview Philanthropy, the P150 community of philanthropic advisors, and major regranting programs such as the 2022 Regranting Challenge, which awarded $150 million to organizations including the Gates Foundation and Eleanor Crook Foundation.

The RFP is open to any type of organization or individual from any country — nonprofits, for-profits, universities, research organizations, and individual practitioners are all eligible. Award amounts are not published; Coefficient Giving does not set a fixed grant size ceiling for this program, as grant sizes vary with project scope and organizational capacity. Most grants in the Effective Giving & Careers program are unrestricted general operating support, typically awarded for one or two years. The 2026 RFP submission deadline is June 26, 2026. Existing grantees on renewable grants may also apply for top-up funding under this RFP.

Applications are submitted via the dedicated RFP page at coefficientgiving.org. Coefficient Giving expects decisions within weeks to months of the close date. Strong applicants will demonstrate a credible theory of change for increasing total donations to high-impact charities, a track record of cost-effective fundraising or donor engagement, and the organizational capacity to scale. Coefficient Giving explicitly funds work that complements GiveWell's recommendations, and projects that channel donations toward global health, animal welfare, or catastrophic risk reduction are well-positioned for consideration.

Funds organizations that help donors give more effectively, including donation platforms, donor advisory services, pledging organizations, and matching or awareness campaigns.
