IAF-ICP — Standard Industry Collaboration Project (up to 36 months)
Supports Singapore public research programs with industry co-funding to advance pre-commercial technology opportunities.
IAF-ICP Standard supports Public Research Performers in strategic R&D collaboration projects with industry. Project duration is recommended at up to 36 months.
The project must have at least one Industry Partner committing R&D spending (cash and in-kind) to the project — the Total Research and Innovation Expenditure (TRIE). Industry partner commitment is a key assessment criterion. Companies and individual researchers cannot apply directly; applications must come from a Public Research Institution.
Projects are assessed primarily on potential for anchoring, deepening, or harnessing innovation mandates of industry partners in Singapore, economic impact, and ecosystem-building value. Expected outcomes include licensing income, sales revenue, and product or process innovations adopted by industry partners.
Applications are submitted to IAF_ICP@a-star.edu.sg with endorsements from the Research Office and Innovation & Enterprise Office (or Technology Transfer Office) of each participating Institution, plus a signed Industry Partner declaration. The RIE2030 IAF-ICP application package was released in May 2026.
Pan-domain. Eligible across HHP and MTC themes — biomedical, medical devices, digital health, advanced manufacturing, AI, robotics, semiconductors, materials, sustainability, food, agritech.
