The StartupSG Grant Prize is a S$50,000 cash grant awarded to one exceptional deep-tech startup during the grand finals of the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition (LKY GBPC), hosted by Singapore Management University. The prize is sponsored by Enterprise Singapore and is distinct from other LKY GBPC awards in that it is structured as a grant rather than a trophy, investment, or mentorship credit. The 12th edition grand finals were held 29 September to 2 October 2025 in Singapore. Past winners of the broader competition include MEDEA Biopharma and PlasticFri, who won the Beta and Infinity prizes respectively at the 11th edition in 2023.

To be eligible for the StartupSG Grant Prize, a startup must have a functional minimum viable product demonstrating proven initial traction, own proprietary technology or solutions, have been registered within the last ten years in its country of incorporation, and plan to establish an office in Singapore. Corporate subsidiaries in which a single entity owns more than 50% of shares are disqualified. The award is fixed at S$50,000 and the pool is not shared — only one company wins per edition.

In addition to the S$50,000 grant, the winner receives fast-track entry to the SLINGSHOT Domain Finals, a fully sponsored Singapore trip including return flights and up to ten days of accommodation, access to Singapore's physical innovation immersion programme, and complimentary exhibition space at SWITCH 2025. Entry into the competition is free; applicants submit through the LKY GBPC platform as part of the main competition process. Startups with functional deep-tech products, proprietary IP, and credible Singapore expansion plans present the strongest profile for this award.
