Startup SG Tech Proof-of-Value (POV) is a competitive grant administered by Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) that fast-tracks commercialisation readiness for deep-tech startups holding a proprietary technology with a validated concept. The programme is one of two tracks under Startup SG Tech — the other being Proof-of-Concept (POC) — and targets startups that have already demonstrated technical feasibility and need resources to reach market-entry readiness. Proprietary technology, as defined by EnterpriseSG, must involve Intellectual Property or Intellectual Assets owned by the startup; integration of off-the-shelf components alone does not qualify.

The POV grant awards up to S$500,000, disbursed on a milestone-completion basis rather than as an upfront lump sum. Alongside the cash grant, EnterpriseSG holds rights to exercise a share subscription — an equity component intended to cultivate financial discipline and a growth-oriented mindset consistent with venture-backed startups. Eligibility requires the applicant to be a Singapore-registered private limited company less than 10 years old, with at least 30% of shares held by Singapore citizens or permanent residents. The company must demonstrate a scalable business model with international growth potential. As part of Budget 2026, the Singapore government allocated S$1 billion for early- and growth-stage deep-tech investments across the Startup SG ecosystem.

Applicants begin by downloading the Startup SG Tech Registration of Interest form (November 2024 version) and submitting via the go.gov.sg/askenterprisesg portal. Because awards are milestone-based, companies must plan deliverables and cost estimates around verifiable checkpoints. The POV track's emphasis on commercialisation readiness means evaluators weigh the strength of the go-to-market strategy, the distinctiveness of the IP, and the team's capacity to scale internationally. Prior POC work is typical but not formally mandated by published eligibility criteria.

Proprietary deep technology at commercialisation-readiness stage, supporting Singapore-registered startups moving from validated proof-of-concept toward market entry with international growth potential.
