SOSV SF — formerly IndieBio SF — is SOSV's San Francisco-based pre-seed accelerator covering the broad sweep of deep tech with particular emphasis on proximity to Silicon Valley's capital ecosystem. SOSV invests USD 550,000 per company via a pre-seed SAFE instrument, with an optional USD 250,000 available through the Genesis Consortium for qualifying companies. Participation is equity-dilutive; there is no grant component. SOSV makes approximately 60 pre-seed investments annually across all programs and follows on in roughly 150 companies per year.

Companies accepted into SOSV SF receive a six-month residency at SOSV's San Francisco facility with full access to SOSV partners, lab and engineering infrastructure, investor introduction networks, and the broader SOSV community of founders across 82 nationalities. The San Francisco location is specifically positioned to give portfolio companies access to the Silicon Valley venture capital ecosystem at the moment of raising a seed round following the accelerator. Cohorts run multiple times per year on a rolling application basis.

SOSV SF spans climate tech, biotech, hardware, AI infrastructure, energy, advanced materials, medtech, and robotics — a broader mandate than SOSV NY's biology-first focus. Founders building physical-world deep tech products who want Silicon Valley investor access alongside a six-month intensive program should consider SOSV SF as their primary track.
