CoSTAR Realtime Lab R&D Call
Funds UK-led virtual production R&D on realtime performance and scene intelligence.
Grants back at least two flagship virtual production projects, led by individual UK companies or UK-led consortia. Winners also get up to 20 days of access to CoSTAR Realtime Lab's specialist infrastructure and expert technical and creative support, to develop and demonstrate a prototype or proof of concept, with outputs ranging from early prototypes to more advanced product demonstrations.
The call funds collaborative R&D projects on realtime performance and scene-intelligence tools for screen and immersive content, covering volumetric capture, virtual production and realtime content creation. It's open to creative and digital technology firms, film and VFX studios, game studios and engine teams, virtual-production tech vendors, volumetric-capture businesses, live-streaming and VTubing platforms, plus researchers in graphics and neural rendering.
