Great British Energy Community Fund — South West (Window Two)
Funds South West community groups developing local clean-energy projects.
Funding runs in two stages: Stage 1 feasibility grants of up to £40,000 for professional support to scope project feasibility, and Stage 2 development grants of up to £100,000 for projects already found feasible, covering detailed investigation, planning applications, landowner agreements and business-case development. The fund wants community groups developing clean energy projects that local people can benefit from, restricted this round to 'Type A' community energy asset projects such as renewable or low-carbon energy and electric vehicles. Projects should be designed to be at least 50% community owned, with a demonstrated good level of community engagement and support.
