Basic and applied research, and in some cases advanced technology development, addressing medical problems relevant to Service members and the general public, across the whole of USAMRDC's extramural research mission — submitted first as a pre-proposal through eBRAP, with a full proposal invited only at USAMRDC's discretion and submitted through Grants.gov. The BAA excludes work aimed at a specific system or hardware solution rather than at advancing scientific knowledge.
