Conceptually innovative, paradigm-challenging research reducing the burden of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases and conditions, explicitly excluding incremental extensions of published or ongoing work, funded under the fiscal year 2026 Tick-Borne Disease Research Program. A Career Development Option is available for early-career investigators, reviewed separately and capped at a lower cost limit.
