DoW Joint Warfighter Medical, Military Medical Research and Development Award
Funds a continuation phase for medical research that already holds earlier DOD or DOW funding, from preclinical work through clinical trials.
Military medicine keeps producing early research that shows real promise and then stalls, because most funding is built for starting something new, not for pushing existing work the next step closer to the field.
This award funds that next step: continuing research and development already judged worth Department of War money, spanning late-stage preclinical studies, late-stage technology developmβ¦
Continuation funding for Department of War-relevant medical research already holding DOD or DOW core or Congressional Special Interest funding, spanning late-stage preclinical work, technology development and demonstration, translational research, and clinical research tied to a Joint Warfighter Medical Research Program focus area. A Clinical Research or Clinical Trial Option applies to work involving human subjects, samples, or data.
