DoW Pancreatic Cancer Research Program, Translational Research Partnership Award
Funds a required clinician-scientist partnership in pancreatic cancer research, the only sibling award here that allows a pilot clinical trial.
Moving a promising pancreatic cancer idea from the lab to something that helps a patient usually takes more than one kind of expertise, and this award is built around requiring that mix rather than hoping for it.
The Translational Research Partnership Award funds a partnership β clinicians, population scientists, applied scientists, basic scientists, in some combination β whose job is acceleratinβ¦
Required clinician-scientist partnerships accelerating promising pancreatic cancer research ideas toward clinical application, with at least one partner holding pancreatic cancer research or patient-care expertise. Requires preliminary data supporting feasibility, which need not originate from pancreatic cancer studies. Supports retrospective tissue analysis, correlative studies and pilot clinical trials; large-scale clinical trials are not allowed.
