Innovative, untested, high-risk basic cancer research advancing knowledge relevant to cancer treatment and patient care in the Military Health System. Incremental advances, the next logical step from existing work, and switching a model system from one cancer to another are explicitly excluded. Preliminary data is not required but a strong scientific rationale is. Includes a new FY26 Early Career Investigator Option.
