Blueprint MedTech Translator

Funds the translational and first clinical-feasibility steps for a device treating a nervous-system or neuromuscular disorder.

A device for a nervous-system or neuromuscular disorder can look ready after bench and animal testing and still fail once it meets a real nervous system for the first time — and that first clinical step is exactly what this notice pays for.

Blueprint MedTech Translator funds translational activities and clinical feasibility studies advancing therapeutic and diagnostic devices for disorders affect

Translational and clinical feasibility work advancing therapeutic or diagnostic devices for disorders affecting the nervous or neuromuscular systems — clinical prototype implementation, non-clinical safety and efficacy testing, design verification and validation, Investigational Device Exemption or Institutional Review Board approval, and a clinical feasibility study answering a question non-clinical testing cannot, given the device's novelty. A clinical trial is optional.
