Shared research cores — equipment, techniques, pilot funding and administrative support — organized around one digestive or liver disease theme within NIDDK's mission, open only to institutions with at least $3 million a year in already-funded research in that theme, at least 30 percent of it from NIDDK. Not a vehicle for new independent research projects.
