Resource-Related Research Projects for Development of Models and Related Materials for Studying Human Health and Diseases
Funds developing lab models, new-approach methods or biological materials useful across several NIH institutes, not just one disease.
Individual NIH institutes fund plenty of work on their own disease-specific models, but almost nobody funds a model or method built to serve several institutes at once. This notice, run by NIH's Office of Research Infrastructure Programs, exists for exactly that gap.

Developing, characterising or improving research models of human health and disease, developing biology-based new approach methodologies, or improving access to information from disease models — where the resource must be broadly applicable to two or more NIH institutes or centers and evaluate diseases or processes across multiple organ systems. Narrowly disease-specific or single-institute-focused proposals are excluded.
