The SpaceTech Investor Readiness Program is a pilot initiative launched in December 2025 through a partnership between Space Florida — Florida's aerospace and spaceport development authority — and Seraphim Space, a UK-headquartered SpaceTech-focused venture capital fund. The programme is designed to bridge the gap between accelerator graduation and first institutional funding round by providing Florida-based SpaceTech startups with structured mentorship, strategic guidance, and direct access to Seraphim Space's global investor network. No cash award is attached to the programme; the value proposition is investor access and readiness preparation.

The inaugural cohort comprised seven Florida-based SpaceTech startups across a diverse range of sectors: biomanufacturing, autonomous space operations, spacecraft inspection, reusable satellites, in-space propellant stations, nanomedicines for space environments, and laser communications. Cohort 1 culminated with a showcase at SpaceCom Orlando in January 2026. As of the research date, no second cohort has been publicly announced.

Eligibility for future cohorts is expected to be limited to for-profit companies incorporated or headquartered in Florida and operating in the space technology or aerospace sectors, consistent with Space Florida's statutory mandate to develop Florida's aerospace industry. The programme targets companies approaching their first institutional funding round — making it most relevant to late-seed or pre-Series A startups that have graduated from a formal accelerator programme. Companies interested in future cohorts should monitor Space Florida's website and engage Space Florida's business development team directly, as the programme's continuation and application process had not been formally announced at the time of the research.
