The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology is the federal ministry responsible for industrial policy and advanced-technology adoption. Established in July 2020, it leads Operation 300Bn, the national industrial strategy that aims to lift industrial GDP contribution from AED 133 billion to AED 300 billion by 2031. Its remit runs across advanced manufacturing, AI, aerospace, pharma, energy, agritech, and construction materials.

MoIAT's funding-facing work sits inside programs such as Technology Transformation Program, Technology Development and Startup Initiatives, Make it in the Emirates, and the National In-Country Value Program. The most concrete capital route is Technology Adoption Grants, which can reach AED 10 million per company and are delivered through ADIO. The AI Innovation Program pairs industry challenges with financing through EDB, with a USD 100 million solution announced at MIITE Forum 2024, while the broader transformation stack also includes procurement preference, free assessments, and incentive schemes rather than cash only.

The ministry does not behave like a direct grant disburser. It sets industrial direction, then routes money and incentives through EDB, ADIO, FAB, and other bank partners so manufacturers and technology teams can adopt, pilot, and scale inside the national industrial agenda. Applicants are strongest when they can tie a project to local manufacturing, productivity gains, or a named industrial challenge.
