Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) is Colorado's primary state economic development agency, operating under the Governor and Executive Director. The agency has 12 divisions and offices, and its mission is to empower all to thrive in Colorado's economy. Its 2025-26 goals include supporting 5,530 housing units, 6,300 rural jobs, $95.8 million in federal and private investment, and 200 high-impact international tourism events by June 30, 2026.

OEDIT's program mix includes grants, cash incentives, loans, and tax credits. The grant-facing side includes the Advanced Industries family, Innovative Housing Incentive Program, Rural Jump-Start, Colorado Creates, and related tourism and business-support programs. Advanced Industries is aimed at advanced manufacturing, aerospace, bioscience, electronics, energy and natural resources, infrastructure engineering, and technology and information. Award sizes in the visible portfolio range from $14,000 for Colorado Creates to $450,000 for housing, with Advanced Industries grants topping out at $250,000 for early-stage capital and retention, $150,000 for proof of concept, and $15,000 for exports.

The agency is built to move projects through commercialization, job creation, housing, and rural revitalization rather than to fund a single sector. The Global Business Development division administers several advanced-industry grants, some programs run on January and July cycles, and many competitive incentives require Colorado Economic Development Commission approval.
