This is a single-stage EP Project Grant from the European Parliament's Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences, one of three conference-interpreting topics sharing a combined €750,000 call, with this topic carrying €150,000 of it. The European Parliament funds higher-education institutions registered in Ukraine, Montenegro or Albania that offer or coordinate master's, postgraduate or bachelor courses with a conference-interpreting component in Ukrainian, Montenegrin or Albanian as the interpreter's 'A' language. The aim is a pool of qualified interpreters in these three languages so EU institutions, particularly the Parliament, can recruit them as officials or accredited freelance agents. As with the wider LINC call, the Parliament identifies the language combinations and skills it needs and assists universities in training toward them, rather than providing the training itself.
