Kick-Starts are 6-month studies funded at 75% by ESA, up to EUR60,000 per contract, and can lead to larger Demonstration Projects. Applicants register on esa-star, download the official tender documentation, write a proposal with a National Delegation Letter of Support where needed, and submit via esa-star Tendering by the deadline.
ESA wants Kick-Start studies for services that use satellite navigation, Earth observation or satellite communications to improve last-mile delivery -- warehouse and microhub operations, crowdsourced and autonomous delivery methods, and optimised delivery routing. Proposed services must use satellite data or space-based technology.
