ESA wants downstream services that use satellite communications, GNSS navigation and timing, and Earth observation to strengthen health infrastructure -- hospitals, clinics, health information systems and healthcare financing systems. Named uses include disaster-response connectivity for tele-medicine, GNSS routing and jamming-resilience for emergency vehicles and drones carrying drugs or transplant organs, geo-fencing of medical equipment against theft, time-stamped medical records, and satellite monitoring for disease-outbreak and air-quality surveillance. This is the fifth thematic area under ESA's 'Space for Infrastructure' call.
