Circular Textile Processing and Manufacturing
Funds three €4–6M projects that scale renewable fibres and sustainable chemicals into competitive circular textile production.
Renewable fibres and sustainable textile chemicals often lose to entrenched fossil-based options on price, processability and consistent quality. This topic funds integrated innovation that helps textile manufacturers use them at industrial scale without sacrificing durability, functionality or consumer confidence.

An Innovation Action for textile processing and manufacturing technologies that make recycled, regenerated and bio-based fibres and sustainable chemicals economically viable at scale. Projects should improve processability and product quality across spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing or finishing; quantify biodiversity outcomes; address quality, durability and functionality; and develop risk-sharing and smart-scaling approaches. They must involve the textile value chain, reach TRL 6-7, and reserve 10-25% of EU funding for SME third-party innovation projects.
