Horizon Climate Transition Scenarios
Funds six €4M projects to make climate scenarios more diverse, actionable and useful for fair, resilient transitions worldwide.
Climate scenarios help governments, businesses and communities decide how to respond to a changing world, but current frameworks do not always capture the full range of social, environmental and geopolitical futures. This topic funds six projects to make scenarios more robust, diverse, transparent and useful for climate-resilient and sustainable development.
Each proposal must choose one priority…
Improving climate scenario frameworks and integrated assessment models so they capture interactions among climate impacts, adaptation, mitigation, biodiversity, pollution, equity, justice, geopolitics and policy implementation. Each proposal addresses one priority area: integrating impacts and adaptation, improving scenario frameworks and narratives, or improving policy representation, with transdisciplinary co-design and international participation.
