Equitable Cancer Care Economics and Outcomes

Funds three €5–7M projects that make cancer control more equitable, effective and cost-aware for patients and families.

ScheduledEuropean CommissionEU

Cancer control programmes need to deliver better outcomes while responding to unequal access, changing technologies and different resources across Europe. This topic funds research that connects health economics, health systems, epidemiology and outcomes to show which cancer-control approaches create value for patients and families.

Projects should analyse healthcare spending, resource allocation

A Research and Innovation Action combining health-economics, health-systems, epidemiological and outcomes research to improve equitable cancer outcomes and value-driven care. Projects should study costs and effectiveness across diverse healthcare settings, involve people at risk, patients and caregivers through participative research, and demonstrate better access to evidence-based cancer-control programmes in clinical, home or community settings. Data access, quality-of-life and survival outcomes, Knowledge Centre on Cancer resources and Cancer Mission clustering are central.
