Funds two €5.5M projects that make neighbourhoods beside active railways and motorways greener, safer, more inclusive and liveable.
Active railway lines and motorways connect places but can also bring noise, air pollution, other pollutants, invasive species and safety concerns to the neighbourhoods around them. These corridors can leave surrounding areas unattractive, neglected and harmful to biodiversity.

Developing and demonstrating a package of measures that mitigates the environmental, ecological, economic, social and health effects of active railway lines and motorways on nearby neighbourhoods. Projects must implement the package in urban, peri-urban and rural demonstrators across different countries, measure outcomes, address regulatory barriers, support urban greening and provide scalable guidance for municipalities and stakeholders.
