To qualify, a business must be a registered, formative-stage entity meeting at least two of four markers: under seven years old, a first product or service already in testing or pilot-scale production, pre-revenue or early revenue, and a leadership team working to

Grow-NY is open to early-stage food and agriculture startups anywhere in the world, spanning food, fuels, fibers, raw materials, and the hardware, software or services that support them, as long as they can show real progress toward commercialization. It excludes sole proprietorships, non-profits, and non-scalable businesses such as retail, gambling, real estate or hospitality.
