The Commission wants robust AI-assisted digital capabilities that work alongside digital twins to improve aircraft design, redesign, certification, manufacturing, condition monitoring and MRO across propulsion, aerostructures and systems. It wants proposals to explore generative AI and large language models for airworthiness-relevant recommendation and information retrieval, using explainable or surrogate models where regulation demands it.
