This call funds development and demonstration of harmonised icing certification methodologies for Appendix O Supercooled Large Droplet icing conditions. Proposals should validate numerical prediction tools against representative test results and, working closely with EASA and other aviation authorities, produce a means-of-compliance and regulatory roadmap that supports certification of the ultra-efficient SMR and regional aircraft for entry into service by 2035.
