European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU)

Transversal Centres of Excellence

Funds about 4 technical hubs offering profiling, optimisation, portability and other cross-cutting HPC support services to European application developers.

This call is one of three sibling Transversal and Community Centres of Excellence topics sharing a EUR 60 million line, but the roughly four grants expected under this specific topic sit in their own EUR 1,000,000 to 2,500,000 range. Award criteria, scoring and thresholds are set out in a shared Horizon Europe annex rather than on this call's own page. Successful consortia must have a balanced mix…

This topic wants Transversal Centres of Excellence that each pick one well-defined cross-cutting technical area — such as application profiling, performance optimisation, portability, resilience, security or energy-efficient computing — and provide specialised support and tools to HPC application developers across Europe. It expects strong links to Community CoEs, Lighthouse Codes, national and EU HPC initiatives, and training delivered with the AI Factories and EuroHPC Academy.
