The 2026 Joint R&D call under the KEIT/KIAT Global Industrial Technology Cooperation Center (GITCC) Program funds collaborative projects led by Korean enterprises with mandatory overseas joint-R&D institutes. Funding: up to KRW 0.8B in Year 1 (Aug-Dec 2026, 5 months), then up to KRW 2B per year, total maximum KRW 10B per project over 60 months (42 + 18 months phased).
KIAT is the managing institute under MOTIE. National Collaboration Centers (NCCs) selected in 2024 include KAIST, KIMM, KITECH, KATECH, KERI, KETI, ETRI, and KRICT. For Joint R&D, the lead institute must be a Korean company with at least 1 year of business registration and a KOITA-issued business-affiliated research institute certificate; overseas-institute work-share must be at least 40% (with justified exceptions). At least one Korean-company researcher must be dispatched overseas for more than half of the project period.
Government R&D funding ratio: SMEs up to 75%, middle-standing enterprises up to 70%, large enterprises up to 50%, others up to 100%. Online submission via the K-PASS portal (k-pass.kr); deadline Friday, May 29, 2026, 16:00 KST.
