SECIHTI's 2026 Proyectos de Desarrollo Tecnológico, Innovación e Infraestructura call is Mexico's federal grant program for technology maturation, scaling, and intellectual property management, administered by the Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación. It serves as the successor to the legacy CONACYT FORDECYT and PRONACES innovation calls and covers three chapters: Chapter A funds projects maturing intermediate-level technologies; Chapter B funds maturing and scaling of advanced-level technologies that address Mexico's national priority challenges; and Chapter C supports intellectual property protection and technology management activities.

Applications were open March 26 through May 4, 2026. Unlike SECIHTI's basic-science chapters, this call permits for-profit companies to apply alongside universities, public research centers, and nonprofits. All applicants must be registered and operating in Mexico. Prior SECIHTI-funded applicants may participate only if they have no compliance issues with previous awards, and previously funded projects must demonstrate clear technological maturity advancement — duplicate objectives, goals, activities, or deliverables relative to prior grants are not allowed. Award amounts per chapter are published in the Términos de Referencia (TDR) documents in Mexican pesos; specific figures were not extracted at catalog ingest.

The program spans a broad range of technology sectors including manufacturing, energy, medtech, agritech, climate, AI infrastructure, hardware, and biotechnology. It is considered SECIHTI's most relevant call for technology-focused and for-profit applicants in Mexico. The 2026 application window is closed; the next cycle is expected in Q1 2027. All documentation and correspondence are in Spanish. Full eligibility criteria and per-chapter award amounts are available in the TDR PDFs on the secihti.mx portal.
