QBIC Lean Manufacturing Program (LMP)
Provides a six-week structured cohort helping Qatar-based product startups build lean manufacturing capability for local production.
Eligibility · QA
The QBIC Lean Manufacturing Program (LMP) is a structured training and capability-building program delivered by the Qatar Business Incubation Center, described by QBIC as the first initiative of its kind in Qatar. The program targets entrepreneurs and business owners who aim to manufacture products locally and scale manufacturing operations efficiently within the Qatari market. QBIC is a joint initiative of Qatar Development Bank and is headquartered in Doha.
The LMP runs as a 6-week cohort divided into six modules, each spanning approximately three days of instruction. Content addresses lean manufacturing principles, operational setup, and scaling physical production. The 2024 cohort ran from 13 October to 19 November 2024, with a Demo/Selection Day on 1 December 2024. Eligibility is open to for-profit businesses and individual entrepreneurs registered and operating in Qatar. There is no cash grant, equity stake, or loan associated with the LMP; participation is an in-kind program benefit. The program is restricted to the manufacturing and hardware sectors.
As of mid-2026, QBIC is accepting interest registrations for the next LMP wave via qbic.qa/en/applications, with full applications expected to open in a subsequent announcement. Prospective applicants should register interest early, as cohort selection is competitive and the program has historically run once per year. Contact and application details are managed through the QBIC portal.
