The Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC), founded by Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Nama, operates the Lean Startup Program (LSP) as its pre-seed incubation track for early-stage entrepreneurs in Qatar. The program runs once per year as an 11-week structured cohort focused on customer discovery, business model validation, and entrepreneurial experimentation. Participants who complete the program and deliver a successful pitch presentation at program close become eligible for up to QAR 250,000 in equity investment from QBIC and gain entry into QBIC's one-year incubation program. The equity investment is contingent on pitch performance and is not guaranteed to all participants.

The 2026 LSP cohort is accepting applications via the F6S portal linked from qbic.qa/en/applications. Eligibility is assessed across five scored criteria: significance of the problem and market opportunity, uniqueness of the solution relative to existing alternatives, founder grit and motivation, team capability and relevant expertise, and declared intent to raise investment at program close. Individual entrepreneurs without a registered company are eligible to apply; the program targets the pre-seed stage before formal company formation. Applicants must operate or intend to operate in Qatar.

QBIC scores applicants on the five published criteria rather than a single application form threshold. No exact 2026 application close date is published on QBIC's own program pages; applicants must check the F6S listing for the current deadline. The program structure follows a lean methodology with weekly modules, mentor access, and iterative validation sprints leading to Demo Day. QBIC's broader Smart Financing model describes a tiered pathway from Lean Startup Program through incubation and acceleration stages, with each stage linked to additional equity financing opportunities up to QAR 250,000 at the LSP close.

An 11-week pre-seed incubation program for Qatar-based early-stage founders, culminating in a pitch for up to QAR 250,000 equity investment and entry into QBIC's one-year incubation program.
