QSTP's Tech Venture Fund (TVF) is a $30 million USD co-investment vehicle operated by Qatar Science & Technology Park, the technology and innovation hub of Qatar Foundation located in Education City, Doha. The TVF is the successor to an earlier $20 million-plus fund that was deployed across more than 150 startups. Unlike a grant program, the TVF invests equity capital alongside an existing lead or co-investor — it does not lead rounds independently. Target companies must be deep-tech ventures with a defensible 10x improvement in their domain, operating across sectors such as artificial intelligence infrastructure, advanced hardware, novel materials, and robotics.

Eligibility requires the applying company to be headquartered in Qatar with core operations, leadership, and workforce locally based. Applicants must already have an active lead or co-investor — local, regional, or global — at the time of application. Individual check sizes are not pre-published; each deal is sized per transaction based on the lead investor's terms, the company's capital requirements, and strategic fit. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through a preliminary online form on the QSTP website, with no stated annual deadline.

The TVF is best suited to deep-tech founders who have already secured a credible co-investor and want to access a Qatar-based strategic backer with strong ties to the Education City ecosystem and the broader Qatar Foundation network. Because QSTP reviews each deal individually and co-investment terms are negotiated rather than standardized, applicants benefit from submitting a compelling technical narrative alongside existing term sheet documentation. Consumer applications and services-only businesses are unlikely to meet the 10x-improvement threshold the fund applies.

Deep tech with defensible 10x improvement; pre-seed, seed, or Series A follow-on.
