The WaterTech Accelerator is an eight-month in-kind acceleration program co-run by QSTP (Qatar Science and Technology Park) and TotalEnergies, targeting validated water deep-tech companies that demonstrate commercial traction and seek to expand into the West Asia and North Africa (WANA) region. The program takes no cash and no equity from participants; all support is delivered as in-kind program value including mentorship, access to pilot infrastructure, and market connections.

The program runs over approximately eight months structured in three phases: one month of online programming, a two-week immersive residency in Doha, and a pilot execution phase culminating in a final showcase at the Doha Forum. Eligibility is global β€” Qatar residency is not required β€” but applicants must be building water or water deep-tech solutions with demonstrated traction and a credible expansion pathway into WANA markets. Companies from any country may apply. The initial cohort draws from 30–40 applicants, narrowing to approximately 20 after Phase 1, with a smaller group advancing to the Doha immersion and pilot execution.

As of May 2026, applications for the current cycle are closed. QSTP periodically reopens the program and announces new cycles through its website at qstp.qa/programs/watertech. Given TotalEnergies' operational footprint in Qatar and the Gulf, companies that complete the program gain direct access to one of the world's largest integrated energy companies as a potential pilot and commercial partner. The WaterTech Accelerator is most appropriate for founders with a working product and initial customers who need structured market access in the region rather than early-stage development capital.

Offers global water deep-tech startups an 8-month in-kind accelerator co-run with TotalEnergies, including a Doha immersion and pilot execution, with no cash or equity taken.
