The Singapore–Horizon Europe Complementary Fund (SG-HE) is administered by the National Research Foundation Singapore (NRF) and provides Singapore-side research co-funding for researchers at eligible Singapore entities who are participating as consortium members in European Union Horizon Europe projects. The fund covers research costs and activities conducted in Singapore as part of Horizon Europe projects that fall within priority areas designated by NRF for Singapore. NRF administers the fund through the Research Grant Portal (RGP); the EU-side funding is provided separately through Horizon Europe mechanisms.

For the 2026 call, NRF held information sessions on 25 and 26 March 2026 and announced that full call details would be made available on the RGP in April 2026. Specific submission deadlines, eligible entity lists, priority areas, and award quantum for the 2026 call were not yet published at the time this record was sourced. Eligible applicants must be researchers affiliated with eligible Singapore research entities who already hold or are seeking a Horizon Europe grant position as a consortium partner — the SG-HE fund does not function as a standalone Singapore grant but exclusively co-funds the Singapore-side component of an active Horizon Europe project.

For-profit companies are not eligible. Eligible entity types include universities, research organisations, and non-profit institutions based in Singapore. Individuals may not apply directly. The fund covers costs incurred in Singapore; EU-side costs remain the responsibility of the Horizon Europe award. Prospective applicants can register interest at go.gov.sg/sghe and direct technical queries to NCP@nrf.gov.sg. Because the 2026 call window was expected in April 2026, applicants should verify current status on the RGP before preparing a submission.
