An established investigator applies as supervisor for a named student who has already been pre-selected by their university's MBPhD programme directorate; a second supervisor is also required. The award covers the student's stipend, home-rate tuition fees, research consumables (usually under £18,000 a year) and travel funding of up to £3,000. Applications are reviewed after submission of a detaile

This is for medical students already selected onto their UK university's own MBPhD programme who want to spend two to three years doing cardiovascular research as part of that degree pathway.
