Connected Places Catapult administers the Connected Airport Living Lab, a grant program funded by Innovate UK and delivered in partnership with Glasgow Airport. Now in its fourth year, this is a six-month, challenge-led opportunity that places UK small and medium-sized enterprises directly inside a working airport to develop, test, or demonstrate their technology.

Technology addressing one of three set challenges at Glasgow Airport: asset performance management, live passenger-sentiment feedback, or turning that passenger feedback into actionable insights. Solutions must be at technology readiness level (TRL) 5 to 9 — already tested or demonstrated, up to a first commercial deployment.
